Faith Pulled Me Through

Updated: Jun 14, 2021

Faith can be as tiny as a mustard seed. Sometimes we can’t seem to find it, often times blindfolded scurrying hard to locate it. It can be easy to lose and so detrimental if we don’t recover it soon enough.

We must remember that during our most trying times, no matter how difficult it may appear or how scary it may seem, the smallest amount of faith will cross us over to the path we need to be on. It is during the most difficult times of our lives, when we must hold on to every ounce of faith that we have because it will make all of the difference. Understand that the more we

practice exercising our faith, the stronger it will grow. That’s the beauty of going through a struggle, knowing that staying faithful during our hard times, is what builds our strength and also our character.

I say these things to you all because this is my story. This is my truth. I walk by faith and not by sight. I believe and trust in Him, the One I have never seen, but the One who speaks to me daily.

When I don’t understand, I immediately refer to Proverbs 3:5-6 which reads “Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge Him, and He will make your path straight.”

When I feel helpless and in need of protection, “Our soul waits for the Lord; He is our help and our shield” from Psalm 33:20 makes me feel safe.

When I am afraid and need to remember who to trust the scripture from Psalm 56:3 reminds me that I should put my faith in Him.

When I seek peace in the moment, my peace is found within the Word from Isaiah 26:3 “You keep him in perfect peace whose mind is stayed on You, because he trusts in You.”

There are lots of reminders within the Word and when you feel these things, you too, can refer to these scriptures. Read every word and hold onto it. Keep these words close to your heart. I hope these words will provide you with the same peace and comfort that I have felt each and every time I have recited them.

I pray that your faith stays strong and I pray that it grows. Remember, you’ve got what it takes. Stay faithful. Stay strong.
